Verizon FiOS is Primed for Fiber Optic Technology

Some of the latest advances in TV entertainment, like the constant improvement of HD TV, can make a big difference in the quality of the content that consumers see. And this is revolutionizing the way people watch TV and receive data.

Verizon FiOS is the only TV, Internet and phone service that is ready to handle advancements in fiber optic technology. They have spent the past few years developing a state of the art fiber optic network that promotes speed and reliability - and America is better off for this.

Cable companies use a network of copper cables to deliver TV programming and Internet service into people's homes. Those networks of cables have been used for the past few decades and are antiquated. And so this is good news for FiOS.

Verizon FiOS built a brand new network of optic fiber cables from the ground up so that they would be ready to handle huge amounts of data now, and in the future. Fiber optic cables are an innovative alternative to traditional coaxial cable networks and satellite technology because the thick optic fibers that makeup the network process data differently than traditional cables. Verizon FiOS is preparing for a fiber optic future.

Because of the innovative fiber optic network that Verizon FiOS has invested in, FiOS can give customers a cutting edge High Definition experience at home. The FiOS TV Service is on the cutting edge of HD for sure.

HD TVs provide a higher quality picture than normal TVs and are becoming extremely popular. They soon will be the standard across America in everyone's living room. If you aren’t using a service like Verizon FiOS that delivers a high quality picture, you won’t be getting the most out of your expensive HD TV.

Most cable companies use standard cables that run through an existing network to deliver TV service. The high tech fiber optic cables from FiOS send large amounts of information with quality to your TV.

Verizon FiOS is like a firehose, projecting massive amounts of information through a pipeline. The more information your TV receives, the higher quality your HD picture will be. There is simply no cable company or satellite company that can compare to the quality and the speed of Verizon FiOS TV service.

Verizon FiOS is a Flagship Product

Verizon FiOS has been designed to deliver Internet access, voice, and HDTV over an all-fiber network to homes and small businesses. It is certainly a cutting edge strategy of Verizon's push for fast, value-added "triple play" services to compete against cable operators delivering TV, phone and Internet.

Verizon FiOS has more than 1.6 million subscribers and is available to more than 8.2 million homes and businesses in 14 states. The higher speeds make this service extremely desirable. Verizon FiOS is expanding their 50Mbps downstream and 20Mbps upstream capability to the whole FiOS network.

Best Features of Verizon FiOS

There are some really cool things about Verizon FiOS and I would like to expand a bit about what I feel are the 3 best things about FiOS.

Verizon FiOS TV is simply hands down one of the best features. The amazing picture and unreal audio make watching TV in the family room a dream. And if you like NFL Football on Sundays, how about 'incredible'. you have to see it to believe it. Watching TV with Verizon FiOS will never be the same again.

Limited Time Offer on Verizon Bundles!

Another great feature is how reasonable the cost is to obtain this service. Especially if you want to package up the services by ordering phone, tv and internet together - otherwise known as the Triple Play. This is Verizon's most popular plan and offers the most value.

The third cool thing about FiOS is the amazing speed. If you like using the internet and are accustomed to cable, watch out. Verizon FiOS is lightning quick and blows away cable speeds.

Overall, these are my favorites and what I believe is Verizon FiOS strong points.

PC Magazine Declares that Verizon FiOS Internet is the 'Fastest'

A few days ago, and its readers have announced that Verizon FiOS is the fastest and most satisfying Internet service in the country. It was a poll conducted among thousands of readers across the United States over a duration of several months.

The results of the analysis were pretty conclusive - Verizon's FiOS connection easily surpassed even the fastest cable. The magazine concluded that Verizon FiOS Internet was faster than cable Internet surfing speeds by a substantial amount.

FiOS customers have been saying this for years, and now FiOS gets the recognition -- that the all-fiber network is providing people with the best Internet experience in the nation.

Only Verizon delivers amazing speed with a high-speed broadband straight to customers' homes over the nation's most advanced fiber-optic network. The network already reaches more than 10 million homes and businesses, and it will reach more than 18 million by 2010.

Verizon FiOS High Speed Internet

There are some great benefits of using Verizon FiOS High Speed Internet. Verizon FiOS offers a faster download so downloading music and movies is much easier and quicker. Verizon FiOS can achieve download speeds of 30 mega bytes per second.

It is also very tiresome waiting for web pages to load. A slow Internet connection can really get in the way of progress on the internet. Whether you are shopping online or browsing through sites, it really is imperative to have a quick high speed internet connection. And Verizon FiOS delivers.

Using Verizon FiOS can really speed up your internet world and allow you to watch streaming content which is becoming increasingly popular all over the internet. People want quickness in the world. I believe that the internet will soon be just like TV. Turn on your computer and it will be there.

Verizon FiOS Sees Huge Opportunity

Verizon FiOS is looking for big opportunity and may certainly get its chance as it expands its FiOS services into many cities. Verizon FiOS provides high-speed Internet service, telephony, and cable TV service over a super-fast fiber connection and is expanding rapidly because of the demand for lightning quick service.

As Verizon FiOS targets major cities, the economics of multiple dwelling units is very good for them. the ability to pass a building that has 300 apartments is much easier than deploying service to an acre or half an acre for a single-family dwelling. So Verizon FiOS see a very good growth opportunity here to target cities.

Verizon actively continues to stretch and expand their network where their services are in high demand, especially the Verizon FiOS TV product where TV entertainment is pretty spectacular.

Verizon FiOS New York - Regulators Getting Tough

In New York, state regulators are considering banning Verizon FiOS from installing its fiber-optic FiOS service in New York City until Verizon ensures that it's doing enough to provide electrical grounding for its equipment in homes. Poorly grounded equipment or cables could potentially ignite electrical shocks or start fires, although there have none to date. It is more or less a precautionary move.

New York is the only state to raise these concerns, but Verizon FiOS is installing their service in 15 other states. The New York regulators are concerned that the coaxial cable could inadvertently carry a high voltage and be dangerous to people living in their homes.

There are 3 million households in New York City and it is the single largest market for Verizon FiOS and is a big growth opportunity for the company. Verizon is inspecting all of the several hundred thousand FiOS installations in the state made earlier in the year, and is repairing the ones that don't meet the electrical code.
