Verizon FiOS Internet Service Has the Speed You Need

If you use the Internet for anything more than checking email occasionally you need the speed of Verizon FiOS Internet service. These days you can do almost everything online including paying bills, watching your favorite TV shows, downloading movies, and listening to Internet radio.

But you can’t do any of those things if your Internet connection is slow and can’t handle multimedia applications online. Cable Internet or DSL connections use outdated networks that just can’t handle the huge amount of data that is used to create multimedia on the Web, or to play popular MMORPG games like World of Warcraft or Warhammer Online.

Using the Internet for entertainment is a smart way to save money, especially since there are thousands of movies, video clips, TV shows, concerts and other entertainments that are streamed for free online. When you invest in Verizon FiOS Internet service you’ll have the speed and reliability necessary in order to take advantage of those entertainments.

The Verizon FiOS network has a reliability rating of 99%. That means that 99% of the time the FiOS Internet and TV services are working the way they should. By comparison most cable companies get a reliability rating between 60 and 80%, which means that their service goes down a lot more often.

Having a reliable Internet connection is also important if you work from home. When you need to send or receive large files you can’t depend on a weak Internet connection to deliver those files quickly. Sending large files over a weak connection can degrade the file which means you will lose important data. In order to make sure that you receive the files you need and that your clients receive the best finished product possible you need to switch to Verizon FiOS Internet service if you work at home.

Verizon FiOS is the First Fiber Optic Network

Using fiber optics for residential services like TV and Internet is still very new, and Verizon FiOS is the first entirely fiber optic network to be used by any company to deliver digital TV, high speed Internet, and digital quality home phone service to consumers.

Building the fiber optic network was a long and costly process, but Verizon FiOS realized that investing in building a strong fiber optic network from the ground up would put them on the cutting edge of TV and Internet service. Most cable companies are still using outdated networks made up of primarily copper cables.

These cables aren’t built to handle the data load that makes up the signal of today’s high quality HD TV programming. They also struggle to handle large downloads and chunks of information from the Web, meaning that multi-media content online is often degraded and either streams slowly or doesn’t look and sound as good as it should.

Using fiber optics allows more data to be sent at faster speeds to your TV receiver and Internet modem. The more data that comes through, the better the quality of the picture on your TV will be because that extra data will help enhance the picture and sound quality.

Fiber optic cables are like firehoses when it comes to delivering information and copper cables are like garden hoses. The first coaxial cable, the kind of cable that cable companies use, was introduced in 1940. Coaxial cable hasn’t really changed much in all those years, and experts predict that coaxial cables will soon be too outdated to handle most of today’s modern media.

Many people would prefer to get their TV service and Internet through a modern, updated firehose instead of an outdated, antiquated garden hose. With Verizon FiOS TV you get the ultra high quality that only a fiber optic network can provide at around the same cost, or sometimes an even lower cost, than most cable or satellite companies.

Verizon FiOS - Gift of Generosity

Verizon FiOS faces 2010 with strength, but this will prove to be a difficult year for many. As glad as we are all happy to see 2009 go, many will go into 2010 with a positive approach.

And with that spirit, Verizon FiOS has chosen a Tampa Bay area family to receive a complete home-technology makeover this month, and become local celebrities. This family will star in a locally televised show called "My Home 2.0" which airs later this year.

My Home 2.0 is a home-makeover TV show that transforms the lives of ordinary families. They accomplish this by giving the family technology upgrade of a lifetime. I am sure this includes Verizon FiOS TV to say the least. The episodes feature a busy, hardworking family daunted by the technical verbiage often used to describe the latest in computer and electronic equipment.

It is a great way Verizon FiOS is giving back to the local community in 2010. This should be commended for their thoughtfulness and generosity!

Streamline Your Household Spending Using the Verizon FiOS Triple Play

Consumers these days have to make some tough choices when it comes to household spending. Verizon FiOS TV, Internet and phone services can help you streamline your household spending and save money for other important things. All over the country people are going over their household budgets to see where they can cut back in order to save money each month. Verizon FiOS programming bundles make it possible for consumers to keep their TV and Internet service while still saving money.

When it comes to streamlining a household budget the key is to know which services you need to have and which ones you might like but don’t actually need. Once you have decided what services you need then you can look for ways to get the best price possible on those services, like signing up for a Verizon FiOS Triple Play package that will give you TV service, phone service, and Internet service at a great price. What services are considered essential will be different for each person but these days TV service, Internet service and phone service are almost universally essential for people to have. Savvy consumers know that the key to creating a solid household budget is to pay for the things that provide added value, like Verizon FiOS, and save money by cutting out things that don’t give you enough value for the money spent.

Some expenses, such as rent or mortgage payments, are fixed costs that consumers can’t do anything about. Fixed expenses can be very helpful when consumers are setting a household budget because they won’t have to leave extra money in the budget in case the cost of a bill is higher than they guessed. Verizon FiOS Triple Play packages offer consumers the chance to get their Internet, TV and phone services at a fixed cost each month which will help consumers set a household budget that isn’t going to change every month. The Verizon Triple Play packages also give customers discounted rates for combining services. So when customers sign up for a Triple Play package they save money on each service that is included in the package as well as getting the convenience of being able to pay for three services all on one bill.

Many customers also find that they can change their cell phone plan to a less expensive plan or get rid of their cell phones altogether because of the features that are included with digital quality Verizon phone service such as caller ID, call forwarding, and free long distance calling anywhere in the US as well as to Canada and Puerto Rico. Super fast Internet service like Verizon FiOS service can provide entertainment for the whole family and let you watch movies, listen to your favorite songs, and shop for great deals on food and other necessary items. No matter how you look at it the benefits of signing up for a Verizon FiOS Triple Play package outweigh the low monthly cost of combined phone, Internet and TV service.

Verizon FiOS versus Cable

Cable TV and Internet service used to be considered cutting edge. But, technology has kept improving while the network of copper coaxial cables that cable companies have built around the country have not been upgraded to keep up with technology.

When cable companies try to pump huge amounts of data through their outdated copper cable networks, that data clogs in cables that can't handle the increased amount of data. That means that consumers get muddy TV pictures and slow Internet.

Many cable service subscribers can't use modern media applications online and can't download movies or music without waiting for hours because of the limitations of the old cable network.

Verizon FiOS is the answer consumers have been waiting for. State of the art optic fiber cables carry huge amounts of information almost instantly to TVs and computers.

Verizon FiOS TV users can get a crystal clear TV picture, real high definition channels that have unmatched picture and sound quality, and Internet that is fast enough to download music and movies in minutes as well as play video games, watch streaming content, and more. And you can get high quality Verizon FiOS service for around the same cost as traditional cable and satellite service.

There are some significant differences between cable and Verizon FiOS.

Verizon FiOS is the Best Alternative to Satellite TV and Internet

There is a better way to get TV service and fast Internet service. For a long time cable and satellite TV and Internet services were the only alternatives but Verizon FiOS gives consumers a better choice when it comes to electronic services.

Verizon FiOS is the first fiber optic network in the US, and the cutting edge network that Verizon has built blows cable and satellite TV and Internet services out of the water.

Satellite TV and Internet services are even more outdated. Many satellite providers pick and choose the programming that they allow and have programs that are only run on satellite TV, meaning you miss out on the hottest new shows that other networks are broadcasting.

Satellite service can cut out because of the weather or because of other service problems meaning that consumers miss shows and have a lot of Internet downtime. Many housing communities and condo associations won't even allow residents to use satellite services because of the clunky and inaccurate satellite dishes that are needed in order for the service to work.

Verizon FiOS may be a viable alternative to Satellite TV...

The Verizon FiOS Quad Play

New additions nationwide for the Verizon FiOS TV service amounted to only 191,000, which falls short from 300,000 in the second quarter and the lowest since the second quarter of last year. Could it be that Verizon FiOS is slowing down its rollout schedule?

The slowdown could be because of various reasons, and nobody is discounting the economic climate as a major factor. But Verizon FiOS is promoting its bundled package of services that includes the traditional "triple play" of home phone, high speed Internet access and TV service... all with $150 back.

And now FiOS is also toying around with the quad-play where cell phone service is included as well. The Verizon FiOS quad-play bundles provide flexibility and savings. Customers will save between $59 and $179 per year with this new service.

Verizon FiOS will be introducing the quartet of bundled services in its eastern region, including New York, Virginia and Delaware and probably rolling out and expanding this service shortly thereafter...

Verizon FiOS is Primed for Fiber Optic Technology

Some of the latest advances in TV entertainment, like the constant improvement of HD TV, can make a big difference in the quality of the content that consumers see. And this is revolutionizing the way people watch TV and receive data.

Verizon FiOS is the only TV, Internet and phone service that is ready to handle advancements in fiber optic technology. They have spent the past few years developing a state of the art fiber optic network that promotes speed and reliability - and America is better off for this.

Cable companies use a network of copper cables to deliver TV programming and Internet service into people's homes. Those networks of cables have been used for the past few decades and are antiquated. And so this is good news for FiOS.

Verizon FiOS built a brand new network of optic fiber cables from the ground up so that they would be ready to handle huge amounts of data now, and in the future. Fiber optic cables are an innovative alternative to traditional coaxial cable networks and satellite technology because the thick optic fibers that makeup the network process data differently than traditional cables. Verizon FiOS is preparing for a fiber optic future.

Verizon FiOS Has the Speed You Need

How the Verizon FiOS Fiber Optic Network Works

The Verizon FiOS fiber optic network is one of a kind. Verizon FiOS is the first company to use an entirely fiber optic network for home TV service, Internet service and phone service. The Verizon FiOS fiber optic network is built on a backbone of fiber optic cables which are more reliable, faster, and can carry more data than traditionally used copper cable.

Coaxial cables, which are what the cable companies and some satellite companies use to deliver their services, have been in use for almost one hundred years and have never been upgraded or improved. As a result cable TV service and Internet service are still slower than they should be based on the technology available today.

The fiber optic network that Verizon FiOS uses is not made up wires, so it is faster and more effective than a cable based network. Fiber optics sends data along the length of an optic fiber, a long strand of glass or plastic that is electromagnetically charged.

Using optic fibers instead of cables means that there will be less data lost, and higher quality images will come through because the images travel with less degradation over the optic fibers. So if you want to watch TV in HD you will get a much clearer HD picture from a service that travels over optic fibers instead of cables because as the signal travels the length of the cable the signal weakens and the picture degrades.

Fiber optics is cutting edge communications technology at the moment but in the future it will become the standard delivery method of TV and Internet service. By building a strong fiber optic network from the ground up Verizon made it clear that they are committed to supporting technology as it develops. If you want great picture quality and super fast Internet service now and in the future you need to choose Verizon FiOS TV and Internet service.

Experts Say Verizon FiOS TV is the Future of TV Service

Verizon FiOS, the first fiber optic network used for TV and Internet service, is being hailed by experts as the future of telecommunications. The Verizon FiOS fiber optic network allows data and images to be sent over much greater distances than traditional coaxial cable and the image and data that travel along the optic fiber don’t degrade the way that they do when traveling along a copper wire or coaxial cable.

The images and data degrade because the coaxial cable isn’t large enough or powerful to hold all the data that is being sent. An optic fiber is much more powerful and can send extremely dense images and data files very quickly through the network.

Because the Verizon FiOS fiber optic network can deliver better quality images and larger amounts of data it will be the network of choice for consumers for years to come. Already consumers are spending thousands of dollars on high end HD TVs so that they can get a real high definition picture in their homes.

Those consumers know that in order to see TV images in true HD they need to use a network like FiOS that has the strength and speed to handle large amounts of data and high resolution images.

Experts are predicting that the rapid developments in technology will make it a necessity for companies that provide TV and Internet services to switch to fiber optics in order to keep up with new formats, more data, and higher customer expectations.

Traditional cable providers and satellite TV companies will need to start from scratch building new networks and investing in more advanced technology will mean a lot of hassle and expense for customers. Verizon FiOS already has a solid fiber optic network in place so customers know that Verizon FiOS will be able to deliver the kind of quality and affordability they want for years to come. But the Verizon FiOS fiber optic network is built specifically to process large amounts of information without losing any of the data during the delivery.

Cable companies which are still using outdated copper cables simply can't compete with the high quality of the Verizon FiOS fiber optic network. With this special promotion from Verizon FiOS, you can get the highest quality TV, phone and Internet service available for the cheapest price available. Why Verizon FiOS Internet Service is Different From the Rest

Verizon FiOS Internet service gives you speed and reliability that no other company can match. Lots of companies say that their Internet service is fast, but if they are using standard coaxial cable or copper cables their Internet service simply isn’t as fast as the Verizon FiOS Internet service.

That’s because Verizon FiOS Internet service doesn’t run on a network of cables. FiOS is the industry’s first fiber optic network. Optic fibers don’t lose any of the data that is traveling along them the way that regular cables do, so you get faster speeds, more data, and better quality images. Optic fibers also allow more data to travel over longer distances than cables so that increases reliability. Experts have rated the Verizon FiOS Internet service at 99% reliability. That means that you will almost never have any lost streams, dropped data, or screen freezes due to slow connection speed.

Verizon FiOS Internet service also is different from other Internet services because you can bundle it with award winning, expert recommended Verizon FiOS TV service. Verizon FiOS Uses Cutting Edge Technology to Bring You Great Service

Verizon FiOS Uses Cutting Edge Technology to Bring You Great Service

Technology is moving forward everyday and Verizon FiOS is the only TV, Internet and phone service that is ready for the future. Traditional cable companies use outdated copper wire to deliver service to your home, but Verizon FiOS uses a cutting edge fiber optic network that delivers the fastest and more reliable TV, Internet and phone service available.

As technology changes the company providing your TV, phone and Internet service will need to adapt to new technology. Verizon FiOS is the only company with the infrastructure already in place to embrace technology as it develops.

Already the networks that cable and satellite companies are using are outdated, and as technology becomes more advanced these companies will have to invest a lot of money updating their networks, which will cost you more, and they will not be providing the kind of service you need to get the quality you want.

Changes in technology also bring changes in the quality of the TV images and multi media applications online. Many people have high invested in high end HD capable TVs and expensive surround sound stereo systems to enhance their TV and movie watching experiences at home, but if your TV service isn’t delivering that content in a very specific way you won’t be able to get a high quality image on your TV.

If you don’t have Verizon FiOS TV and Internet service you won’t be able to see movies and TV programs the way that they are intended to be seen, and you won’t be able to use the Internet to watch videos, play games, listen to music and do all the other things that are available online.

Cable companies and satellite companies simply don’t have the tools necessary for you to see great HD images on TV or make it possible for you to use the Internet for more than just basic surfing.

Experts Say Verizon FiOS TV is the Future of TV Service

Verizon FiOS, the first fiber optic network used for TV and Internet service, is being hailed by experts as the future of telecommunications. The FiOS fiber optic network allows data and images to be sent over much greater distances than traditional coaxial cable and the image and data that travel along the optic fiber don’t degrade the way that they do when traveling along a copper wire or coaxial cable.

The future of Verizon FiOS TV is promising...

Verizon FiOS already has a solid fiber optic network in place so customers know that Verizon will be able to deliver the kind of quality and affordability they want for years to come...

How the Verizon FiOS Fiber Optic Network Works

How the Verizon FiOS Fiber Optic Network Works

The Verizon FiOS fiber optic network is one of a kind. Verizon is the first company to use an entirely fiber optic network for home TV service, Internet service and phone service. The FiOS fiber optic network is built on a backbone of fiber optic cables which are more reliable, faster, and can carry more data than traditionally used copper cable. Coaxial cables, which are what the cable companies and some satellite companies use to deliver their services, have been in use for almost one hundred years and have never been upgraded or improved. As a result cable TV service and Internet service are still slower than they should be based on the technology available today.

The fiber optic network that Verizon uses is not made up wires, so it is faster and more effective than a cable based network.
