Verizon FiOS TV Launches On-Screen Caller ID

Verizon FiOS TV has launched a new service which will allow viewers to screen calls without interruption. FiOS is rolling this feature out in three states to start - Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Texas.

This is a great feature for avid Verizon FiOS users who don't want to be interrupted during movies or television programming. It is basically Caller ID on TV. The FiOS customers in these 3 northeastern states will be first to experience this free of charge. Customers who qualify and opt to use the new service will see incoming caller ID information displayed for several seconds in the corner of their TV screen.

At that point the choice is up to the consumer whether to pause programming to answer the call or continue watching tv. Verizon FiOS TV just made life easier...
