Verizon - 2009 Green Choice Award
Recently, Natural Health magazine has awarded Verizon FiOS a 2009 Green Choice Award for initatives of recycling and conservation practices. The magazine highlights some of the company's green initiatives.
Cell phones are being kept from potentially ending up in landfills with a dedicated program and are used instead to fund more than $6.3 million in cash grants to domestic violence agencies. Efficiency and conservation efforts are taken seriously and the dedication is there.
Its just another way Verizon FiOS is helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Verizon also launched a project in 2008 that reduced the energy regarding computers and monitors. Verizon FiOS is being proactive in helping anyway possible to conserve energy and resources to help the planet.
