Verizon FiOS is Coming to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Verizon FiOS recently won a deal to bring the FiOS' service to Philadelphia. A 15-year agreement with Verizon Communications Inc. that will bring the FiOS network into the city was agreed upon last week. And this news breaks Comcast Corp.'s cable TV monopoly in the city.

The report said Verizon's investment is estimated at between $800 million and $1 billion. This is great news for the city of Philadelphia as it gives consumers more options for cable, phone and internet services.

FiOS is spreading very quickly across the nation and targeting cities where population is thick and the service can accomodate as many people as possible in the shortest time span. The people of Philly need to celebrate this exciting news about FiOS!

I would celebrate if I knew WHEN I'd be getting it. If I have to wait five out of the seven years that they're quoting for area saturation, I'm not going to be celebrating any time soon.
