Verizon FiOS and New Download Speeds

Comcast is increasing its speed to 50Mbps in a few markets to compete with Verizon FiOS. So it stands to reason that Verizon FiOS might be rolling out a bigger number to keep the edge.

And FiOS is hinting around at 100 MBPS in a possible rollout in 2009. So 2009 might be the year that our nation breaks the barrier of 100 MBPS.

The speeds that Verizon FiOS are delivering are simply daunting and increasing over time. With more consumers loving the great download speeds, it seems like a reasonable move to hit the 100 MBPS mark.
