Verizon Fios - Stay Clear of the Copper!

Why is the Verizon FiOS fiber optic network so amazing? And why can they claim unbelievable speeds? Because Verizon has done something no company, and certainly no major communications carrier, has done before and is changing the technology that is used in the telecom industry.

The materials used to build a network for an entire communications system of phone service, TV service and Internet service is copper wires. And these copper wires are adopted by almost all of the companies in the industry and are still used today by both cable companies and satellite companies.

However, Verizon FiOS created the first network using cutting edge fiber optic cables and uses these fiber optic cables instead of copper wires because data can move with lightning fast speed. The speed increase is roughly 3 times faster than the speed achieved using copper wires.

Also, the fiber optic cables won’t get clogged the way the copper wires will when several users jam the airways and sometimes, users get dropped. The larger, more advanced fiber optic cables can accommodate a lot more data and a lot more traffic without failing.

Stay clear of the copper wires. Here are 5 tips where you will benefit from Verizon FiOS:

  • Fiber optic cables mean higher quality and better clarity.
  • The picture on the Verizon FiOS TV service is no match for a regular TV picture.
  • Voice clarity of calls made with Verizon digital phone service is astonishing!
  • The speed and reliability of the Verizon FiOS Internet is lightning fast!
  • Very affordable - comparable to cable or satellite
