Verizon Fios - Betting on the Future!

There is much discussion today about whether Verizon FiOS' $23 billion investment in the fiber-optic network is worth it. They have rolled out a Triple Play to compete with cable and only time will tell whether this is the network of the future.

As time continues and things get rolled out, there will be two flavors of broadband and TV providers – cable and fiber to residential homes. Verizon FiOS' network is much speedier and more reliable but the real test is customer service and delivering great bandwidth.

Comcast is playing a hurry-up game and increasing their speeds, but Verizon FiOS can flip a switch and let more bandwidth flow into my house. If you were to bet on who is going to own this marketplace in the future, well, Verizon FiOS has my vote and their huge investment in their network is proof
